Daddy was in the Air Force. He wore the uniform proudly and served during the Korean War. I almost joined the Air Force right after graduating from high school, but I chickened out. It really takes a special kind of person to wear an armed forces uniform…to stand and fight and die for freedom, ours and others who deserve the same.

There are no words sufficient to convey the gratitude every American should have on this day. I will simply say, “Thank you.”
