The third transplant for little Cameron has met with success! Today, the 3rd day of ANC over 500, and Cameron has been officially declared “engrafted”! Woo hoooooooooo! 🙂 🙂 🙂
While Team Cameron is celebrating, the joy is somewhat tempered in that we know Cameron faces a fight through gvhd (graft vs host disease). The battle has begun, and our little champion must fight awhile longer. But the tunnel has grown shorter, and the light at the end brighter!
Please keep Cameron in your prayers and thoughts until he is home and able to once again feel the sunshine upon his face. Thank you!
What fantastic news! HOORAY!!!
Love ya!
Thank God. Our prayers are with you as Cameron fights against this evil demon called JMML. Our knight, Blake, will be joining in the fight soon as he has also been diagnosed with this terrible disease. He is four and we think every bit the fighter that Cameron is. He will also be treated by the Children’s Mercy staff and together we will all wage war against this evil JMML that is threatening our little ones.
As I’ve read your journey I am frightened of what lies ahead but also encouraged that Cameron has been able to defend and fight this monster and Blake will also raise his sword and shield to fight off this monster. Thank you for sharing. It also encourages those that follow in your footsteps. To follow blake’s journey you can find his webpage at CaringBridge.org under BlakeBrown-Feck. WE have just begun our journey. We are still in the process of the donor’s physical and a tentative date of 12-10-10 for his BMT. Our family has added Cameron to our prayers.
May God bless Blake and your family as you make your journey. We will be praying for you and thinking of you especially through the end of the year. Though the journey may be long and the pitfalls many, you CAN do it. Blake can do it. May he triumph over the monster!
