Well…poor Milla Jovovich was cast aside so that I could focus on my most recent OSS genie doll art.  I also managed to get in some other work and retrieved our son from college after finals.  His freshman year is finished, and he is thrilled to be home for a couple of weeks before he must return for two sessions of field school.  Our theory is that if we keep the kid busy, he’ll have less time to get into mischief!  🙂

Now that Pearl is on Ebay, I am able to think of other things.  The past two days have been devoted to finishing up the resin head surgery begun several weeks ago.  This was the first time I have worked with a resin action figure blank.  It was definitely a learning experience, and I look forward to more work in the area.  It was also a challenge outside of my comfort zone.  I don’t particularly enjoy working outside my comfort zone while I’m working outside my comfort zone.  But I am almost always overjoyed once the project is complete and the client happy.  I am very excited about seeing the photos of Milla once she is reunited with her body!   So..without further ado, here’s the comparison strip on Milla…
